Danner Acadia steel toe Best duty boots hands down!
By Helmut
High quality American craftsmanship. Best american leather. comfortable out of the box. Boots will last for years of service. I have had mine for 2 years now. (Not my 1st pair. I had some brown Grouse danner boots. I got 3 years of service out of them. Having them resoled. can't wear my brown boots with the Sheriff's office.) Never was a brake in time. They fit like a glove, out of the box!Fit: five starsfunction: five starsComfort: five starsPrice: Five stars,Its an investment up front. However, figure in buying cheap crappy boots the dont last more then 6 months. As of right now in i'd be in to my 4th pair of cheap crappy boots and my Danners are still going strong. I'll get 3 years of service out of these boots. then have danner resole them. Bottom line, you get what you pay for. I am very hard on my equipment and demand gear that will handle my abuse. Danner steps up and delivers hands down.Regards,Helmut

Danner 8" Acadian boots
By William Lack
My black 8" Acadian boots did cost a little more than I expected to pay which was almost $300 but I have always heard that the higher the price, the higher the quality. Well I work on a construction city right outside New Orleans in the middle of a swamp and it has been raining nearly everyday so everyday walking out there is like walking in a slosh pit, a mud pit. What I love about these boots is that they have a military look to them and that the tongue of the boot is connected which makes the boots water tight. I was amazed that the first day I put these baby's on, they were and still are soooo comfortable. I work 5 10's every week and walk ALLL DAY LONG FOR 10 HOURS so these boots are amazing. I went to sears before getting my danner boots and bought some roebuck boots and they hurt my feet but I did pay like $40 and they were steel toe, I went to walmart after that and bought some slip on welder type boots and wore them for a day and then limped back into walmart at the end of the day and returned them. Those boots were the worst things I've ever wore on my feet in my life and all my other boots I have ever worn, I had to put dr scholls in them but putting in soles in my Danner boots would be in an insult because they are too good that. But I am set for life now, Danner will be the only boots I buy. One thing I am disappointed about is that I reallllly love those brown hunting boots called Grouse I think, well I really want to get some but I wish they were steel toe. I guess one day I'll buy them for my own pleasure.
