Great America Tradition, NOT!

Wow, I was expecting to get an American Union Made boot. Just got them and all over the box you'll see "Made in China." I really bought these boots to support American workers. I do not like the way we exploit foreign labor, usually to get something cheap, but more likely to make some crony rich. Doesn't matter where the crony lives, I do not like supporting cronies. There's no way my hard earn money is going towards labor (the worker), and I am sure Mr. & Mrs. Chippewa is enjoying their last few years of exploitation. I will never buy another pair of Chippewa boats.

Great boots, but....

Those boots are great, but i was really disappointed that they are made in China. Is this the "great American tradition since 1901" ?

Great all around boot!

These boots are extremely comfy and light weight. They do not take long to break in (in fact they feel as if they've been already broke in the first time I put them on). The zipper in the back makes pulling on and off easy, especially after a long day's work. Once you slide your foot into the boot, it's like sliding on a pair of mocasins, lots of padding on all sides of your foot. The waterproofing works great. I recomend you wear a moisture wicking sock, as my feet do sweat in these. As long as Chippewa continues to make these, I'll always own a pair.
