A Comfortable 5mm Neoprene Lining completely surrounds the wearer's foot to provide optimal thermal insulation down to 5 degrees fahrenheit. The 100% natural rubber exterior and waterproof gusset keep you impervious to the elements. All Le Chameau rubber boots are assembled completely by hand with 100% natural rubber and the highest quality materials. The Hevea Tree is the source of the natural rubber used by Le Chameau. Natural Rubber provides superior resilience and elasticity compared to synthetic rubber, resulting in a more comfortable fit. Besides forming an excellent barrier to water, natural rubber offers a high resistance to wear, cutting, cracking and tearing. These properties are maintained in extreme or cold, making all Le Chameau boots suitable for all 4 seasons. Le Chameau utilizes a 5mm Neoprene Lining in the Vierzon Nord Plus due to its excellent insulating properties and comfort to the wearer. Neoprene also offers outstanding resistance to damage from the sun and elements. The Vierzon Nord Plus also features a double layer of Neoprene under the removable sole of the boot. This creates a comfortable base for the wearer and forms a great insulating layer from the cold below. The Vierzon Nord Plus features a waterproof gusset, giving the wearer the extra room needed to comfortably wear bulkier clothing underneath the boot. The textile tightening strap ensures a snug fit at all times. The Removable Sole of the Vierzon Nord Plus is comprised of flexible foam and an aluminized felt lining. The aluminized felt absorbs body heat and deflects cold. This hinders the ability for thermal energy to escape the boot, keeping inside where it belongs. Boot buckle was broken

The boots came with a broken buckle-pieces inside the box. Every part of the boot seemed sturdy, except for the one plastic piece--the broken buckle. After researching online and reading many reviews of Le Chameau boots, it seemed as though the boots would be fabulous! I was disappointed that the weak link in the design would be a plastic buckle--why not metal? I was interested in buying this product because it was adjustable around the leg. I sent the boots back.
