high instep? No problem...

This is the best snake boot I have ever owned and pretty close to the best all around boot as well. I live in Florida and all though sometimes I head out the door to hunt in single digit weather (not often but it does happen) by noon it can be in the high 60's and the snakes head for the warmer sand areas. I have a serious issue finding boots that fit. I have a wide foot as well as a size 12 and a very high instep so most boots I cant even get my foot in it. This boot not only went on easily but was very comfortable and broken in within 1 day of wear. The only reason I rated it a 4 was the lack of supply. I ended up settling for the size 12 in medium instead of wide and it is a snug fit. certainly can not wear wool socks with them, keeping in mind I have a fairly wide foot. The reason was they were about 4 months behind on stock in the wides. I am still very happy with the medium 12s and as soon as the wide 12 is available again I will order another pair if not 2. It is so hard to find boots that are comfortable. just ot reiterate my large foot and high instep, most snake boots even with zippers and laces either will not go on my foot, are very uncomfortable if they do, or do not fit my calves when laced. If you spend time in the woods and want a tall reliable comfortable snake boot don't waste your money on any of the others. this is the one!Update: just bought the 12 wide so I now have 2 pair and I am just as pleased only now I can wear my wool socks if it's cold... Still very happy with this boot. And the other pair after a year of wear still look, work, and fit like the new ones...

Two fat to work for me

These boots were truly awesome in appearance and quality, but even with the back, my chubby little legs did not stand a chance. If I was thinner this would be a 5 star plus. Exceptional quality and cool looks. I think I could pick up chicks in these!!!!!

Simply the best boots i have ever owned!

I have owned various well made boots by Rocky, Sorel etc. But comparing those to these is like comparing a Benz to a Ferrari. These are super warm and comfy, not hot and bulky like I was expecting. I use these primarily for deer hunting in northern WI were I don't do much moving around and they keep me with warm feet for the whole day. I guess my only complaint is they do get hot if you try to drag a good size deer out of the wood. If these boots ever wear out I will purchase another Baffin no question! I would recommend getting a size 1 or 2 above your normal size, I wear a size 12 and purchased a size 14.

I like this pair of boots but I don't know if they are as warm as their -130 rating. I ware them ice fishing and my feet still get a little cool. The boots have a nice secure fit but do run a little small I think.

Finally had snow and cold to use them. feet were toasty, My other pair of winter boots from LL Bean after a while standing around doing photogrphy me feet would get cold. If you spend your time outdoors in the winter these are the boots for you Rated down to - 100 degrees centergrade

Great lasting boots

Though I haven't purchased my boots from amazon or Zappos, here I am trying to review this boots and not the seller. I bought my boots from the local store in Y2006 at price in the same range as amazon.com. In the past I have used boots with wooden sole and unfortunately they wear out in year or two time frame. Durango shoes appealed me as it was having rubber sole which lasted VERY WELL well for me. I have changed the sole once after 3 years of use in Y2009 and since then they are running fine. Other than soul everything is just like a new boots. As you might imagine, I am quite satisfied to have boots that go on and on even after 5Y or usage.Only short coming of these boots is that I couldn't get in 2E width. Also size is 1/2 to 1 point smaller than I generally need. So if you need to purchase one, try to go for 1/2 or 1 size larger.

Exactly like picture shown

These boots are very comfortable and are exactly like the picture which can sometimes be deceiving. I have been wearing these boots at work on a concrete floor and they are comfortable while still looking good. They came in a double box that help keep them from getting damaged in shipping.

Very good boots for winter and gardens; but way oversized

The boots are very good. Sturdy construction, comfortable liners and good insulation against the elements. But it is way too big to be size 8!!! I think this is way too oversized, so make sure you get the smaller size. It is still too large but I wear it with insoles and it is fine now. Great for garden work during fall/winter. Just wish they would be more true to size.

The boots were nice but were way too large. I ordered size 14 and they fit like a 15 or 16. I returned the boots. There was no way to gauge the size that I should have ordered so I didn't reorder.
