Excellent quality, nice fitting boot. From the inital evaluation seems like there will be little to no break in period required.

I love these danners, I have one in the 800 gram also. I use them for logging and forestry work. Very comfy and warm, I used the 800 gram boots when it is below 40 degrees and the 400 for up to 60 degrees. Water proof and feel good and seem durable we will see but I like the weight better than my packs for sure, lighter on my feet.

Very nice boots, but the double EE size is a little misleading. They are tight. Being made of full grain leather, I am saturating them in Danner boot conditioner and wearing them every day; hoping they will stretch a little. If not, I will try soaking them in warm water and wearing them until they dry. They are nice boots and I am very impressed with Danner. I will continue to buy boots from them.
