Techsun 2 Water Sandal
By R. Wright
I've had 5 months to use the Techsun 2 sandal, and I'm downgrading my rating because of durability problems. The outer sole just fell off one of the sandals and I can see why. The rubber sole was attached only to the outside 1/4 inch of the footbed because the remainder of the footbed is paper! Not a great choice for a boating sandal. Once the adhesive on the edge goes, and sandal falls apart. Next time I'll pay up for a better made sandal. My first impressions of the Techsun 2 sandal are that the sandal is very comfortable and supportive. I was looking for a sandal that fit well and stayed with me whether running or climbing in and out of boats. Maybe more importantly, I wanted a sandal with good traction on wet wood and plastic docks and aluminum ramps. The Techsun does a great job on slippery surfaces. The rubber sole looks like it was designed specifically for wet traction. Sizing is a bit big - I chose a half size smaller, and it fits perfectly. Can't say much about durability yet, although it appears well made.

Fell apart
By T. Kinley
Terrible sandal. Sole detached within a year of purchase with very light use. I have had cheep walmart sandals last longer than these.

So Far, So Good - Whoops!
By Jo Brunt
I have had this sandal for a few weeks now and have been repeatedly jumping out of my kayak into the water here in Florida's Lower Keys to walk around the flats fishing. So far there have been no product defects noted either in the water or walking around the beach communities. In or out of the salt water they have remained secure and very comfortable. Break-in period was insignificant. Seems a good tough sandal and I would buy another if this wears out.I reviewed too early. When I returned to the Keys the next winter, these sandels virtually exploded on contact with the water. It was amazing. Nearly all the seams came free within 48 hours. It turns out that the straps are secured only by being tucked between between the sole and the foot cushion when they are glued together. THEY AREN'T STITCHED - ON A WATER SANDAL!Sorry I gave you a bum steer on this one. In spite of fitting well and being comfotable, it just doesn't deserve to be called a water sandal under any circumstances.
