Great investment, if your serious about your work

Best boots I've ever owned. I bought them while working in northern Minnesota, and they were worth every penny. I wore them 15hrs a day, 365 days a year for work and leisure. I used them for Canoe outfitting, Concrete work, Lawn Care, and roofing (not recommended, It was the downfall of them).-The multi-density sole is great for working around terrain, and is easy on your feet/back. BUT! It does wear quickly when working on hard surfaces, because it is a soft sole.-The leather is AWESOME! It is soft and very durable, with almost no break in time. These boots were like tennis shoes after a couple weeks of regular wear; And the leather and stitching never became distressed or separated when kneeling down, and spending hours in wet conditions.-The shank on these boots is one of the best. With the sock liner and padded collar, the boot molds to your ankle/calf no problem, and offers support AND comfort. The boot does use a hardened leather heel cup VS. a metal one, so it keeps the boot light and flexible, keeping your heel in place and reducing the fatigue from your foot "scooting" around while you walk.-Brass hardware! Many companies have moved on to using steel lace hooks, and they tend to snap off or get crushed. But Irish Setter uses "vintage style" Brass hooks, and eyelets that can be bent back multiple times after being hit, or to adjust how tight you want your laces held.-COMPLETELY WATERPROOF! I had my doubts about this boots ability to keep water out, because of the stitching around the toe, and tongue area's. But they really are waterPROOF. I spent an entire summer up to my ankle in water, loading and unloading Canoes and packs for customers, and every day my feet stayed dry and comfortable. The only time my feet got wet is when I made the mistake of wading too deep. But when this happened 5hrs on a boot dryer, and they were good as new.-ALL IN ALL, These boots are Fantastic! Sense retiring my Wingshooters, I have purchased $240 Steel-toe/Met guard RedWing's. And $190 Wolverine Compressor Steel-toe boots, And they do not compare. The quality of the Irish Setters and the Price, put them above and beyond other "TOP OF THE LINE" boots. My opinion of these boots has not changed sense day 1, They are a great looking, great functioning boot that will not let you down. These boots were made for hard working people, and those are the people who stand by them

i know it is a hunting boot but i use it for work i finish concrete for a living and this is the best boot i have ever owned and i have owned every brand and type they last me about a year i would pay 300 hundred dollars on these boots best comfort and durabilty only bad thing is made in china
