OK, I'm no expert on boots or even hunting for that matter, but here goes-I spend lots of time out doors (NY). I hunt, cut wood, fish etc.Lately,I've been deer hunting with my son. We go out 2-4x per week; mornings and evenings.He has Mucks and I've been using my insulated workboots with wool socks.I've been meaning to upgrade. Then Xmas came and my wife bought me some boots(mucks) which I didn't like at all. They felt like rubber gloves, no support, no grip, no insulation, no protection etc. I returned them and the guy recommended the Bogs. I had them out today and I'm very pleased. I walked thru snow, then water up to the tops for several minutes. I was unable to discerne the difference b/w water/snow/air! Next, I sat in my stand for 3 hours. My feet were toasty all the while. I walked thru 5" of frozen snow(over hills, slippery) and was totally impressed with the traction. These boots exceeded my expectations! I'm very happy.TomJV
