the word lacrosse says it all. great boots

i have have a pair of the lacroose 18 inch rubber boots for 6 years now. and there still going strong. i purchased the snake boots for myself and my hunting buddy due to the amount of rattle snakes and cotton mouths we have seen this year due to the amount of rain we have recived in florida. as always with lacrosse the quality is great and now we have no worries when it comes to the snakes. in fact i seen a small rattle snake and stompped his head and didnt have to worry about it. these boots are very comfortable

Very good, hard to take off

First rubber boot and Lacrosse I ordered. First thing I noticed when compared to my last pair was that they were lighter than expected. Took them out once, very comfy and quality looks great. Can't speak as to insulation since I took water over the top, but this brings me to the 4 star rating. As others have said, this boot is very difficult to take off. Thus, sat in a tree with cold feet just because it was so hard to get them off. If I wouldn't have taken that spill though, I would never have even thought of taking these off until getting to the car anyways. Overall, I would buy these again.

Very stiff

Not very flexible for walking, but then again if they are snake (resistant) I would have to think flexibility is sacrificed here. Fortunately, I have not had to test the snake theory here, but there is a note in the package that plainly tells you that (no boot is 100% snake proof. Meaning that they are (snake resistant) not snake proof. Some boots and shoes will claim to be 100% waterproof and they are. However, some shoes say (water resistant) and that's quite a difference. Makes me wonder if there is such a boot that is snake proof and comfortable to be worn all day long, and for about $200.00. So far they are not very comfortable to wear if you walk a mile or more a day with them. They are hard to put on and hard to take off. I will say though that they are 100% waterproof at this point and I hope that they will break in soon. After about a year or so, I will review these again and give you all the skinny. I hope I don't have to write about the snake resistance but I do say that as stiff as they are for walking that I'd hope that they offer the protection that is implied.
