5A great set of boots, 9 Months Real Use
By Jordan S. (Veteran)
I am an active duty U.S. Army service member. Having used numerous types of boots from the ever popular Danners, to the less commonly seen Nikes. Having a good set of boots is a top priority for all service members. Being able to ruck march for long periods of time with large amounts of wieght is an essential ability in my line of work.Of all the boots I have owned, these "Rockies" have really set the standard in terms of comfort, durability, breathability, and grip. From Germany to Camp McKall special forces selection assesment training, to Afghanistan these boots have held up through every condition.Every set of boots that I have owned before has fallen apart on average in 6 months. Danners especially so. The stitching will come undone, the heel will be worn through, the treads no longer effective for grip. But thats just not the case with these boots. After 8 months of HARD use and over 500 miles ruck marching with 50lbs on my back on top of daily use these boots are still going strong. The treads are still very good and usable, they grip everything just as they did the first day I wore them. The left boots stitching is begining to unravel but only in just one spot near my ankle. They look like they've been through some really gruesome terrain, but thats only because they really have. Mud, Heat, Sand, Snow, Dirt, and lots of rocks. As far as wieght is concerned, there lighter than your standard issue boots, and camparable to the wieght of almost all DANNERS. There not light and dainty like the Nike brand boots that make you feel like your walking around with sneakers on. However the reason Nike's are so light is because they sacrafice huge amounts of durability. Mine only last me 5 months before needing to be replaced completely. And for a product that cost $150 or more its not money I was willing to spend again.I loved these boots so much that they are the first pair of boots I have ever repurchased a second pair of. They arrived from Amazon just a few days ago and I intend to leave them in the case unused for atleast another month.Overall impressions, these boots combine the perfect combination or Durability, Wieght, and Grip that any US servicemember should be looking for in footwear. I know the price is really high here on Amazon, but if you look around most Clothing and Sales stores on post you will find these bad boys for as cheap at $130.00

5Great boots for military
By A. Truong
I have worn multiple combat boots include danners, bates, corocan, oakley and these Rockys. These are hands down the best combat boot I have ever used and will buy them again if they aren't issued, and most people who have them will say the same. The sole lasts long and doesn't slipThe oakleys I was wearing prior to this were easily torn and very slippery. I have personally written 2 medical boards for guys with herniated discs and one of the exacerbating factors was them slipping on the aircraft or pavement . . . they were wearing oakleysI have not had any issues with these rockies from a physician perspectiveFor fitting, I am a 10.5 brooks running shoe, 9.5 Oakley, 10 Rocky

4Nice
By G. Fulton
The boots are comfortable. They run a 1/2 size small though, so I suggest buying at least 1 size up if you like insoles in your boots!
