Fantastic Value

I ordered a set of these boots in the summer of 2006 shortly after I graduated boot camp. I've pretty much worn them continuously during the 5 1/2 years since then and I continue to wear that same pair now. I've worn them so much that the tread is completely worn down to the point of not being able to distinguish what the tread pattern used to be. The sole has just now started to crack at the balls of my feet, though it is still holding together well. The leather is still in great shape (I do keep them well-polished at all times) even after being worn every day inport and underway, on the flight deck, in the bilges, climbing the mast, in ice, snow, rain, saltwater, sand, dirt, mud, blood, and everything in between. In cold weather, I'd wear a pair of wool socks and my feet would never get cold, in hot weather I'd wear regular cotton socks and they never got too hot.I cannot speak highly enough of these boots. They are tough as nails and I've worn them for 20+ hours a day in comfort in just about every weather and temperature combination you can think of. None of the eyelets have worn out or broken off, they are still the same comfortable, professional military boots that they were when I bought them.Since the pair I have now is starting to wear out, there was no question in my mind of what boots I would buy next. I ordered another pair without hesitation.I would highly recommend these boots to anyone in the military or other uniformed profession that needs a tough pair of boots that will last for a very long time.

These have been the most comfortable boots I have owned. They have withstood harsh environments from patrols in the freezing ocean weather to the heat of the Caribbean seas in the middle of the summer months. I just got my third pair of boots and they are just as good and the previous two.Each pair of boots so far has lasted me just over three years. I have usually kept two, one for work and one for inspections and other command functions. So my boots started out with light wear and then get heavy usage once the previous one no longer looked professional enough.They are easy to keep polished and look great. I have never had any problems with the zippers, eyelets, or soles. The only time thy started failing was towards the end of its life after I had worn it down so much that you could barely see treads on the soles anymore. Even then the only failure I noticed is when I step in water they are no longer as waterproof as they used to be and allow some water to seep in. I didn't start to have these problems until after three years of continuous use, so I am very satisfied with their longevity.

Excellent boots. Fits a bit narrow than most and I ended up 1/2 size smaller than my regular shoe size. Mine were made in the USA and the quality shows. May cost a bit more that knock offs but these are worth it. One of the easiest boots to shine bar none. They look every bit a combat boot.
