I absolutely love the boots - now that is. Its been 3-4 months since I bought them in October 2012 and when I first purchased them they seemed narrow at the ankle, stiff, and uncomfortable. So I did a few things. 1) I put a 12 oz coffee can in each boot and laced them up for a couple of days. This shaped the boot to better fit around the ankle. 2) I knotted the laces so that they didn't tighten up across the foot while I laced them up to the top. 3) I put a nice pair of Dr. Sholes work boot comfort insoles in them. 4) I wore them and broke them in over time. First on the November deer hunt, where they were 100% water proof, then on the black powder deer hunt in December where they performed well in sub-freezing conditions on cold rocks, in January while hunting coyote in the snow, and then cutting wood at the hunting camp in the snow in Feb. 2013. The longer I own them the more comfortable they are. They are VERY COMFORTABLE NOW. I'm pleased with the boots and would recommend them. But these are higher end boots, and are stiff at first, so be prepared to break them in over time.
