Really Comfortable
By leokatana
These shoes are really comfortable. Especially being deployed and always walking on rocks, I don't feel the rocks on the bottom of my shoes unlike others. I would recommend this to anyone deploying or just being in the military.

OMG
By Monkeypoo
Holy Crap. That's all I'm able to say about this boot. Don't do what I did, order your actual size. These boots are THE BEST pair of boots I've ever owned. Not only is it impossible to roll your ankle in them, they have the most amazing arc and heel supports I've ever seen. Ever. Never had I had a boot this amazing straight of the box. It is a little uncomfortable once you wear it for the first time, but in 2-3 days of wearing it all day, it makes it all worth it. They don't lie when they say there are supports in the boots. Other than the toe area, everything is completely surround by this boot. And the toes, the toe are has so much room. I know it sounds weird when I say that, but you literally have enough room to where you can raise all of your toes up, but because of the padding all around the rest of your leg/foot, your foot doesn't move and the area is very roomy and quite perfect. (for when you have that one itch on the top of your big toe) OpticsPlanet definitely thought of "everything" there is to think of when it comes to the boot. Now, quit wasting your time reading these reviews, and but the damn things already!!!!!!!

I'm hoping they get better after break-in
By Red
The following is only my first impression. I've served in the military and have worn boots all my life so I know it's a little unfair to judge a boot too quickly, but...There's a ton of vertical wiggle room in the toe area. I can easily curl every one of my toes, or cross my big and long toes. While that may sound good, it's just not normal. I've never had a boot with this much room in the toes, top to bottom. Even after putting in a gelled insole there is a little too much wiggle room to call it perfect, but it's not a big deal. As-is though I'd give that portion of the boot 3 stars. 4 with an insert. They also seem to run close to a size too big in length. These 12's fit more like 13's, but again, with thick socks and insoles they're closer to satisfactory than not. They're close enough to where I don't wish to return them for a smaller size, but if I were to order another pair I would definitely go down a half a size; and yes that's even after the gel insert and socks.I only have one big complaint and that's the way the toe curls. The crease that's created while walking, where the toes bend up... it digs into me pretty good on the top of where my toes meet my feet. I'm hoping that once they're broken in this won't be an issue, but for right now I'd have to say they dig in worse than any boot I've had other than this one cheap pair of Walmart steel-toed. They might even rub me raw before they get broken in. As I walk around in them I'm really questioning if I should return them or not, but my gut tells me to wait until I break them in because this boot, as a whole, is outstanding. For the most part they already feel more like sneakers than boots. They are very light and from the heel on upwards they are the most comfortable boot I've ever worn. I love the tread pattern and can tell they will have superior all-terrain grip. The rubber soles are also relatively soft and I'm sure they will grip on wet surfaces just as well. Being soft, light, cushioned and comfortable I have no doubt these can be worn day in and day out without complaint. I feel they are the perfect height. I'm also fairly confident, judging by its apparent quality, that these boots will last quite some time. The only parts that aren't double-stitched are the lace eyelets and that's probably because there wasn't enough area to do so.
