Top-quality boot.
By Chris
Sizing of this product should be determined by using a Brannock device. At the time I purchased these the sizing chart on the product description was not at all right. This is my second pair of this boot in 10 years. The first pair is still in great shape after 5 years of daily wear. The only reason I needed a new pair was because my shoe size changed pretty drastically and I just can't wear the old ones anymore. The spit-shineable leather gives this boot a great appearance. The high rise provides great ankle support. Oil-resistant outsoles are fantastic for walking on otherwise slick surfaces like tile, steel, and cement. The new polyurethane foam insoles are very comfortable and will survive years of abuse, making for a more than adequate replacement of the originals. These are historic reproductions, made by Corcoran, of the boots Corcoran made for U.S. servicemen during the 1940s and '50s. The look and fit are great, and they only get better with age. These boots will take a while to break in. And they will hurt a lot while you are breaking them in. After that though, these will easily be the best shoes you own. Many people will suggest soaking in water during break-in, but do not do this; toughen up and wear them a few hours a day under normal use and they'll ease into a natural, comfortable shape. Finally, after 3 or 4 years of daily wear your halfsoles and heels will likely be pretty worn. Any shoe repair shop can fix this, but they'll likely not have access to OEM parts. You'll get the best life out of these boots by regularly cleaning with saddle soap, polishing with wax-based polish, and seeking professional repair with OEM half soles and heels (contact the manufacturer for service providers).

AWESOME BOOTS!
By jake
These boots are very nice! When I opened the box I was immediately impressed with their good quality. They were pretty stiff right out of the box and I am currently breaking them in.( I got them about 1 week ago) They hurt for the first 2 days or so then they started to get softer. They are breaking in really well. I love the sole and how it has no liner inside the boot. They are also priced really well. I have had different pairs of red wing boots in the past( red wing models, 4473, 2233, 952) and I think this boot is more comfortable and it costs a lot less. These boots exceeded my expectations and I would recommend them.

Great boots
By Sarah
Bought these for my boyfriend. He LOVES them. They are very sturdy and the leather is thick enough not to tear or anything. He uses them as hiking boots. As far as I know they are true to size and comfortable. I bought different (darker) laces for them because the ones they come with are kind of light and they look weird, but laces are cheap.
