I went Salmon fishing for a week in Alaska and used these boots in the river and on the edge of a lake. I was able to get water up to an inch from the rim of the boot and my feet never got damp or wet the entire week of fishing! The water was ice cold and my feet were kept warm but not warm enough to sweat and get my socks wet. I did a mile hike in them and a lot of walking and I didn't have any blisters or problems with my feet!
