i bought these boots to use for deer stalking in the south west coast of New Zealand, people who have been there will be able to agree that it is tough terrain mixing hard, soft, swampy ground and river crossings all in the span of a couple of miles. after wearing these a couple of times i have found that they are ideal for me by combining toughness, traction, comfort, water proofing and lightness together in a brilliant combination. they do need a bit of breaking in but once that is done they will not disappoint anyone who decides to buy them.

The Irish Setter mens grizzly Tracker 9" 400gm insulated boots are a very good boot and reasonably priced. I feel that they are broke in pretty well after only 4 miles of mountainous trekking. They will be a perfect fit for elk hunting this year. They are light weight and well constructed.They have a good tread that is even a little wider than the boot itself. I think it would keep a guys balance better. Nice leather and materials.

I bought this boot as a winter work around the cabin in the snow. I put it to the test this weekend. To keep it short and sweet. It's a great buy. You won't be disappointed. I wear a size 13. I ordered a 13ee for thicker socks and it's true to size. Good tread, Warm and Dry. Seems Tough.
