I would never buy from the vendor that I got it from. The boots were messed up right from the start. Zipper problem!!! Yes the reviews are true... I figured what the is going on with the zipper. Some of the boots when they ship them out are not zipped up. What happens is that the design is flawed and when shipped or stored without ever being zipped up the inside material of the . The zipper never get creased out! They are good and sturdy but the inside flap when not zipped up after manufacturing never gets creased away from the zipper. So when you go zip them up the material binds into the zipper jamming it and making it impossible to unzip... hard to imagine unless you have the boot. Anyway. If you get the boots and notice that they were not zipped up do not use them! Zip them up so that the inside flap get's creased away from the zipper. I got my 2nd pair after over 30+ days after asking for a different pair. I asked the next day after receiving! I even had to pay SHIPPING! I also over payed! They were less on the actual rocky site! UGH! I only bought them from this vendor because they never said there was a minimum 2 week shipping wait. As all the other vendors at the time. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.Back to the boots. No they are not water proof. But they are water resistant. They were perfectly fine with the 2nd pair I got. And the zipper was flawless. I went after it rained deer scouting and crossed streams that went up to almost the very top of the boot. I did not use them to WADE through water. Or just sat still in water. I tried to get out of the water as quick as i could. But I did stay submersed for at least a few min. These are not Rubber boots after all, which are the only 100% water proof boots you can get. You can easily make them even more water proof by using a water proof wax, solution, scotch guard etc. The actual rocky site says you have to treat them before hand anyway, Which I never did and my feet stayed nice and dry. Remember I did not use them to wade through water. I used them to walk and travel through wet woods, streams etc.Comfortable. Wow. like tennis shoes! Very comfortable and great, great traction!I tried some redheads, and they were no where near comfy as these boots. These boots are very light as well!
