Amazing Boot

If you want a great boot look no further. ANY Danner product that comes out of their Portland Factory rocks.American made is the way to go, and Danner does it best.The white inserts that came with the boot hurt if they are not set in right.Other than that they rock!!

I have owned these boots for 4 years now and have logged plenty of miles and days in them. A well constructed boot made in America with very little sole flex. Absolutely no running, jogging or "double-time" in this boot (it is not a Marine Corps issue combat boot nor a trail runner and your shins will immediately punish you for doing so). If you walk at a 4 to 4.5 MPH rate, I do not recommended this boot for walks longer than a mile or 2 (I recommend the Danner Mountain Light II as it has the proper sole flex). If hanging out in a tree stand all day waiting for game is your thing, there is adequate insulation in the Sierra to keep your dogs warm at 10 to 32 degrees with standard wool or boot socks, just pray you don't have to drag that elk far after you drop it! I bought size 10 for my size 11 foot after a sports store fitting. It is interesting to note that my Danner Mountain Light II purchase required the 10.5 for the same fit and feel as the size 10 Sierra.

My husband loves these boots for hunting. Only have to purchase every 3-5 years. First time out this year, he was up to his knees in mud. Boots kept his feet clean and dry and cleaned up nicely.
